UPDATE: due to unforeseeable circumstances we have a different boat visiting, but still a Thames Sailing Barge – the “Will” (see picture below, in place of Lady Daphne pictured above).

Will was built in 1925 in Yarmouth , made out of steel, and is one of the largest such barges at almost 30m long.

The vessel will be here briefly on Saturday,  if you want a proper look over the vessel best to come on Sunday.

Visitor will be able to board the barge and look round the decks and see all the rigging and equipment of a typical Thames sailing barge (of which there are perhaps only 40 still remaining), and see the original cargo hold, now a large space for events.
